This will be the third meeting of women associated with Swedenborgian organisations around the world. The aim is to promote harmony, through sharing, learning and worshiping together. This is the first time the Gathering has been held in the UK so Purley Chase Centre is delighted to be able to host our friends from around the world. If you have any connection with a Swedenborgain group and would enjoy sharing with other like minded women, then don't miss this event. For those in the UK, Gathering Leaves may not be over here again for quite a while so don't miss this opportunituy to meet friends from around the world.
Further Details
The theme of the weekend is the Tree of Life, inspired by the new stained glass window in the Beech Room. We will be exploring together our journey, as banished from the Garden lest we eat of the tree of Life, we make our way to the Holy City, where the tree offers its fruit for our delight and its leaves for our healing. What transformation makes us fit to enter the City and partake of the fruit? The weekend will include worship, a range of varied and stimulating workshops,plenary sessions,group sharing and social time. The cost also includes a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon. About The Leader
There is a UK planning team consisting of Rita Russell (Leader), Helen Brown, Mary Duckworth, Jan Millar, Helen Newton, Margaret Presland, Gwendolen Rowe, and Judith Wilson. Ably assisted by a US team consisting of Lisa Hyatt Cooper (Treasurer), Gail Cooper, Caroline Glenn, Jody Hyatt, Jane Siebert, and Roslyn Taylor.
