19 June 2019 at 6:00 pm - 22 June 2019 at 11:00 am

This ‘breakaway’ event for embroiderers had previously formed part of the Purley Art and Craft weekend – but it became so popular that the embroiderers now have their own event!

Ann Skinner will be taking the group through a variety of embroidery techniques in the relaxed atmosphere of Purley.

This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to explore various types of embroidery, including canvas work, traditional embroidery, temari balls and free experimental embroidery.

About the course leader: Ann Skinner is a qualified mathematics teacher who completed City & Guilds examinations in embroidery during the 1980’s. she has since taught embroidery to physically handicapped adults and has taught occasional classes for her local branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild. She has also completed a number of commissions, mainly for gold work embroidery.

Costs: £182 in en-suite and £152 in standard accommodation.
