Learning about mindfulness as a meditation and attitude.

Who is the weekend for?

The event is suitable for anyone who is aware of being sometimes surrounded by disharmony and problems.  Who wants to experience feeling less disconnected, drained, or distressed by what goes on around them.

What is mindfulness?

Through mindfulness meditation one can learn a mindful attitude at all times.  This involves an awareness of the reality of things and being in the moment.

What does it achieve?

Mindfulness helps us to take a step back and see things as they are rather than in terms of our desires and fears.  We become less occupied by mistakes of the past and worries about the future and more easily able to rise above self-interested concerns and fears.

Where does religion come into this?

Becoming more mindful means beingconscious of the eternal now.  This is an illuminating perception that transcends time-bound concerns.  It flows from the Divine Mind which is both present within and also beyond time and place.  One needs to lose oneself in this flow in order to fine oneself.
