THis is a weekend of sacred dance. We use circle dancing around a lighted candle to illustrate and to reflecton our theme.
'The rhythm of life is a powerful beat, puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet.'
There does appear to be a powerful rhythm to our lives - day and night, joy and pain, the cycle of the seasons, monthly cycles and tides, our breathing and our heart beat. We can feel more at ease when we are moving in rhythm with the world around us and flowing with the pace of change in our lives. The rhythm of life can be primitive, subconscious and exciting. When we are in rhythm with each other it is a dance of joy.
By exploring the rhythms of the dance we can explore the rhythms of our life and how we are dancing the inner path. We can proctise being in rhythm with each othe. In this way our dance becomes opur prayer. we long to live and dance to The Divine Rhythm.
This weekend is suitable for experienced circle dancers and for those of all ages and abilities who are new to circle dancing. THere is no need for a partner.
