SUMMARY:Sacred Circle Dance May 2026 FULLY BOOKED
DESCRIPTION:Weaving the Tapestry of our Lives  \nEach of us is a thread in another’s tapestry. Our lives are woven together for a reason. Tapestry by Anna Kocherovsky \nThe process of weaving is both creative and repetitive. Using the hands with repetitive movements can be a very meditative process for the person who is doing it\, just like dancing our meditative circle dances. Weaving can also be viewed as a creative prayer\, each piece having a symbolic meaning. We plan to have a beautiful weekend weaving our own particular tapestry through circle dance. \nWe aim to create a friendly and sacred space where you will feel nurtured in body\, mind and spirit. We will learn the dances together\, welcoming both those who are new to circle dancing and experienced dancers. The dance is like a mantra\, stilling the mind and calming the body\, bringing our whole being into balance and helping us to experience both inner peace and joy and connection to all that is. \nThere will be free time on Saturday afternoon to enjoy the grounds\, walk in the surrounding countryside\, chat with each other or rest. \nOn Sunday morning we bring the dances we have learnt\, together with short readings/meditations\, to create a sacred act of universal worship. \nMarion and Helen look forward to dancing and sharing with you. \nLeaders: Marion Curry and Helen Newton \nFULLY BOOKED

DESCRIPTION:In treading a spiritual path there is a constant drive to move forward\, to grow and receive a deeper perspective of what has meaning and direction in our life. Sometimes this appears as a restlessness\, a sense of something lacking. The path we are on asks us questions leading us to discover hidden treasure in our depths. The effect of letting in the light shows up what limits our growth\, the dark unconscious places\, the need to let go of beliefs\, attitudes etc that are holding us back. \nThe voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.Marcel Proust \nYet in our depths we know that to stay where we are is a backward step. This path is a cycle of death and rebirth that we have embarked on and there is no turning back to the old\, outdated map. This is like sloughing off an old skin that has been outgrown just as a snake would do many times in its lifecycle. \nYour vision will become clear only when you look into your heart.Who looks outside\, dreams.
